I seem to read this headline about five times a year. I wish they'd get on with it.
"A move to censure the liberal wing would dismay many followers in Europe and lead to charges of hypocrisy. According to the Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement (LGCM), some 100 bishops worldwide are homosexual, though many are not active."
If they're not active, it's not a problem. It's acts, not desires. We all desire to do things which are contrary to the Commandments. I know I do.

And how did the Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement come by these figures?

but all describe themselves as "versatile"
I think Ann Widdecombe hit the nail on the head when she said the Anglican church just doesn't know what it really stands for anymore. It likes to pretend it is making a firm stance on some issues (which is a laughable claim), but it's just a shadow of what it used to be. At the rate it's going, perhaps it's inevitable that the Anglican Church will be "consigned to the dustbin of history".
Sam Tarrant - No. It will recover itself, especially with the Archbish of York (Senunu?) and the other black senior cleric. They are mobilising a resistance to the lily-livered, NuLab mindset that has gripped the Church for the last 20 years at least.
I have faith in these two men. They're clear-headed, compassionate and articulate.

That is the problem when Ann Widdecombe goes to Rome because the Church of England is supposed to be Protestant and not a home for Catholics - the current Archbishop founded Affirming Catholicism with the gay priest Jeffrey John - not exactly what Cranmer had in mind.
