And Another One

You could devote an entire blog to "two months after his early release he ..." stories.

Hayes was jailed for five years in 1973 after he admitted raping two 14-year-old girls in Leeds.

In 1976, five months after his early release, he was handed a life sentence after being convicted of raping a 15-year-old girl at knifepoint in the city.

He was released on licence from Leyhill Open Prison in Gloucestershire in 1999. A High Court judge is to hold an investigation into why he was let out.

Foreign criminal stories are better.

These guys are our own creations - why import others?

I used to Mr Liberal but these days, especially with regard to rape, I would definately go for the 2 strikes & youre out. Commit one rape and you sit down to a long sentence. Get out and do it again and you will be potted away for the rest of your natural.

Date rape is maybe different because its possible there was some kind of misunderstanding, but stranger rape there should no second chances at all.
