Inappropriate Comparisons

Lancashire Council Workers - 'Gaza Is Like The Holocaust'

Al Gore - 'Fighting Climate Change Is Like Fighting The Nazis'

(and fwiw, I don't think those (presumably Muslim) workers should have been sacked, unless there was more to the mail than has been reported. It might be a stupid comparison, but it's not racist. Stupidity, and the expression thereof, should be as basic a human right as any of them.)

They were presumably sacked for breaching the council's Data Protection policy, rather than the content of the email, though?

This is interesting:"Blackburn with Darwen councillor Salim Mulla also sent out the email to 63 colleagues, but no disciplinary action was taken against him."

Well, of course not. Perhaps councillors aren't bound by any PC usage rules?

Thanks for the detail, on the local TV news (BBC) the content of the emails 'could not be revealed'.

Man made global warming is a con. As usual the agenda is to further the need for world government. Global problems require global solutions etc. The whole game plan was designed by the Club Of Rome. Al Gore is, of course, a member. Welcome to the New World Order.

In addition there's the bonus of all the extra tax they can extort with 'cap and trade'. Then there's the additional furthering of the 'New Age/Gaia worship' religious agenda but that's a much longer story.

On a rather more sinister note is how this fits into the eugenic depopulation plan.

"We need to get some broad based support,
to capture the public's imagination. So we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements and make little mention of any doubts...
Each of us has to decide what the right balance
is between being effective and being honest."
- Prof. Stephen Schneider, Stanford Professor of Climatology, lead author of many IPCC reports.

"Unless we announce disasters no one will listen."
- Sir John Houghton, first chairman of IPCC

"Humanity is sitting on a time bomb. If the vast majority of the world's scientists are right, we have just ten years to avert a major catastrophe that could send our entire planet's climate system into a tail-spin of epic destruction involving extreme weather, floods, droughts, epidemics and killer heat waves beyond anything we have ever experienced - a catastrophe of our own making."
- Al Gore, An Inconvenient Truth

"Climate change makes us all global citizens,
we are truly all in this together."
- Gordon Brown, British Prime Minister

"The goal now is a socialist, redistributionist society, which is nature's proper steward and society's only hope."
- David Brower, founder of Friends of the Earth

"Global Sustainability requires the deliberate quest of poverty, reduced resource consumption and set levels of mortality control."
- Professor Maurice King

"... the resultant ideal sustainable population is hence more than 500 million but less than one billion."
- Club of Rome, Goals for Mankind

"If I were reincarnated I would wish to be returned to earth as a killer virus to lower human population levels."
- Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, patron of the World Wildlife Fund

And perhaps Israel ain't? That strikes me as the rather more important double standard here.

Tracey, add this to your list:

In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill.... All these dangers are caused by human intervention.... The real enemy, then, is humanity itself. (Alexander King and Bertrand Schneider, The First Global Revolution, A Report by the Council of the Club of Rome (New York: Pantheon Books, 1991), p. 115.)

IMHO Man Made Global Warming is a load of old tosh.

First of all Earnest Guardianistas are pushing it.

Secondly, the usual suspects stand to make a lot of cash out of it.

See Matt Taibbi's "The Great American Bubble Machine" in Rolling Stone:
http://preview.tinyurl.com/nw5utn

"the new game in town, the next bubble, is in carbon credits — a booming trillion- dollar market that barely even exists yet, but will if the Democratic Party that it gave $4,452,585 to in the last election manages to push into existence a groundbreaking new commodities bubble, disguised as an "environmental plan," called cap-and-trade. The new carbon-credit market is a virtual repeat of the commodities-market casino that's been kind to Goldman, except it has one delicious new wrinkle: If the plan goes forward as expected, the rise in prices will be government-mandated. Goldman won't even have to rig the game. It will be rigged in advance."

I do wonder if that is why so many trustafarian Tabithas and Tarquins are playing at being pretendy crustys and blockading runways and being a general pain in the arse: Because they know their trust funds depend on it.

What I don't get is do they really think the Chinese will play along with this?

Do they own the Chinese?

Are the Learned Elders still in charge after all? And here I thought that hysterically leftist anti-Zionism was culturally hegemonic in every corner of the EU.

This all reminds of Judge Death from Judge Dredd in 2000AD comic.

He and the other dark judges felt that as crime was committed by the living, therefore life itself was a crime - "the crime is life, the sentence is death" - and they proceeded to kill everyone in their own world. Before travelling to ours (well, Mega City 1 anyway) to bring justice here too.

Strictly speaking that should be "justissss".

A 28-year-old African who styled himself as a barbarian was sentenced to life in prison last night for kidnapping and torturing to death a Jewish man in a case that exposed anti-Semitism in France’s immigrant suburbs.

Youssouf Fofana, from the Ivory Coast, was the ring-leader of a gang of 27 youths who abducted Iman Halimi, 23, in 2006. The gang, from a housing estate in Bagneux, west of Paris, called themselves the “gang of barbarians”.

Fofana Fofana, who describes himself as a hardline “Salafist” Islamist, fled to Ivory Coast after the killing. He was arrested there and extradited to France. He must serve 22 years before he can apply for parole.

It certainly is at odds with received "wisdom" so presumably not.
