That's morbidly hilarious.

She had said she wanted to show that she could put her trust in the kindness of local people.

Surely she meant: "local peoples equally"?

Her way of death rather suggest she didn't have enough confidence in her own, local people, and would probably have supported their displacement.

It's a sad day when a bimbo is murdered for believing the idiotic self-justifications of our "elites", and 'conservative' bloggers describe it as 'hilarious'.

She wasn't your enemy Sam - Cameron is.

I think the story stands up on its own without speculation on what the political views of the deeased might have been.

Sam's right - it's both sad and ironic, as well as a warning to the naive.

It has exactly the character of a Grimm's fairy tale.

Call it speculation, but your link - She had said she wanted to show that she could put her trust in the kindness of local people - could reasonably re-phrase her cause - she wanted to show us we could put our trust in foreigners. Do you seriously doubt that?

You say Sam's right - then you agree this girl's death is hilarious. I doubt that.
