A more extreme example of right wing extremism can be found in Anders Breivik, the Norwegian gunman who chillingly murdered seventy-seven people last summer after publishing a manifesto speaking out against liberal policies and Islamic immigration.
This sort of xenophobia is abhorrent to most Canadians, just like it is to most Europeans, but it appeals to a larger portion of our populations than we'd care to admit.
Quite frankly I doubt that even a tiny proportion of Canadians, no matter how right-wing, are attracted by the idea of massacring scores of innocent people. I think he must be getting "innocent people" mixed up with "baby seals".

"Here is a revealing interview (in Norwegian -- English translation here) with the leading academic Multiculturalist in my country, Professor Thomas Hylland Eriksen of the University in Oslo, who has received millions in government funding for his projects and is something of a national celebrity. It's a few months old, but I haven't seen it until now. He says point blank that in his view the most important thing to do right now is to "deconstruct the majority [population] so thoroughly that it can never be called the majority again." End of quote. And this is the agenda of the Multiculturalists in all Western nations. Make no mistake about it. I have honored him with a mention in my book Defeating Eurabia:"

If you tell people that they are going to be deconstructed it is bound to upset them.
Breivik is very likely insane, as demonstrated by his use of indiscriminate slaughter. But people like Eriksen surely pushed him into the abyss.
Steve Moxon has had this is to say
"That pretty well everyone – myself not excluded – recoiled at his actions, does not belie the accuracy of Breivik's research and analysis in his 'manifesto', which is in line with most scholarship in respect of both Political Correctness and Islam.
It is clear that the mass of ordinary people are considered with utter contempt by the government-media-education uber-class across the Western world; this as the result of 'cultural Marxism'. So we are, in effect, 'at war' within our societies over PC, as Breivik claims."

Who really are the extremists?
I think you'd have to put Breivik into that category, no matter what his politics. The idea that a party's dangerous policies justify the slaughter of their adherents is a profoundly anti-democratic one. It's the difference between the Inquisition and Bismarck's "everyone must get to Heaven in their own way".
"I think you'd have to put Breivik into that category, no matter what his politics."
Well indeed, I haven't seen anyone saying otherwise
"The idea that a party's dangerous policies justify the slaughter of their adherents is a profoundly anti-democratic one."
Adherents yes; but, hypothetically, just for the sake of argument and so forth, suppose that a specific "deconstructer" had been precisely targeted?
This I fancy would really change the whole tenor of the argument.
It can hardly be argued that deconstructers are democrats.
