Men At Work

The Aluminium Wire and Cable Company, Jersey Marine, Swansea, in (I think) the 1960s.

Amazingly, we still manufacture both aluminium metal and aluminium wire in the UK. Just don't get me started on Anglesey Aluminium.

Aha! We do still make something then, Laban!

What do you think is the connection between this and this, though?

Wasn't the aluminium plant on Anglesey dependent on 'cheap' electricity fron the nuclear power station in North Wales? Power station to be closed down by EU directive. A lot of British 'problems' can be traced back to EU.
