A former police officer has been jailed for two-and-a-half years after admitting four counts of sexual activity with a 15-year-old boy.
Mark Brigham was serving with the Metropolitan Police when the incident took place in Portsmouth, in 2008.
The victim's family asked Brigham, a lesbian and gay liaison officer, for advice after their son came out as homosexual, the court heard.
You simply can't trust anyone these days, can you ?

The thin pink line.
Yeah, well, he was liaising, innit?
Anyway, you really can't beat a bit of hands-on training. The sentence is scandalous. This enterprising and dedicated officer should have been commended for his initiative and fast-tracked to Chief Constabule.
You haven't spotted this one have you?
(Apologies if it's a repost)

Evidence can't sway people who have no interest in the facts.
These Liaison officers to designated victim groups aren't turning out too well are they ?
Isn't the mother of the suspect in the Amy Leigh Barnes murder case (who is herself being charged with 'assisting an offender') an ethnic Liaison officer in West Midlands police ?
Another bright idea from NuLab goes belly up !
Having sat through a couple of "diversity awareness courses" courtesy of the Home Office this doesn't surprise me at all. The first course was run by a chump that had been dumped by his wife after eighteen years of marriage because she finally realised she was a lesbian. The second was covered by an ex copper who had decided after fathering a couple of children and twelve years of marriage that he would rather bat for the other side. They were both useless turds but ideally suited to push the diversity message. Can we have an aleaction yet?
Guess with the Catholic priesthood under recent scrutiny the nonces are looking for other employment opportunities.
John Knox,
You're really brave.
