There are a couple of phrases and words that were almost conceived in anticipation of some of our current politicians. "Odious" for Keith Vaz, and "Rictus grin" for Brown. Did you ever catch his "Ramadan message" BTW? The most painful piece of TV I've ever seen. Makes The Office look almost fictional.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEAdxqq3ITU
"the tragic Royal discrimination against Catholics" is a daft phrasing, Laban. It's the Law of the Land, not royal whim. As a Chinese diplomat once said, "In England they have complete religious freedom except that the monarch is obliged to belong to a particular sect". Not quite accurate, but a fascinating perspective.
Sorry, I was being sarcastic ...
Is it discrimination against Catholics or against Roman Catholics? Some of us are Catholics in the Church of England.
The Bishop of Rome hath no jurisdiction here.Nor does transubstantiation, which hath no scriptural basis.
