Meteor

As I scraped the ice off the car windscreen at 6.48 or thereabouts I saw what appeared to be a firework rocket in the northern sky, travelling west. As it faded out in sparks I realised it was a meteor - one of the biggest I've seen in a long time.

Got home, quick google of the news - well, the Quadrantids should have been last weekend. But it was from the right direction.

Maybe a stray Quadrantid took out that wind turbine last weekend.

It may well have been a UFO, evidently one that had either been drink driving or had a woman driving it.

Reading the articles about the turbine incident I noticed that the media (and witnesses) fall into a recognized pattern. They talk about whether said object was a UFO at all. And a UFO is assumed to be some sort of alien craft.

Well, they did see a UFO. It was a flying object that couldnt be identified. Hence it was a UFO.

So what was it? Beats me, it was unidentified.

Ive heard people ask the question "Do you believe in UFOs?". Ive been asked it myself. Clearly the answer must be yes. Too many people have seen too many things for that not to be the case. Of course what they are really asking is "Do you believe in little green men visiting Earth?". Which is an unspoken challenge - 'you are a loony, go on admit it'.

So are UFOs aliens, well Ive got no idea, but it one would have to have a irrational mind set not to admit it as at least a possibility.
