"Mowed" down. You can just imagine that slight sense of "serves 'em right" in the mind of the writer of that headline.

Regrettable, of course, but let's face it, they were asking for it.

Did they have liability insurance ?

I'd like to see these 'artists' decorate the houses of beeboids in Hampstead and Notting Hill. It might make them change their mind.

My only concern is for the driver of the train. I don't give a damn for the people who were killed.

It's great to wake up to good news! Tea, marmite and two dead graffiti vandals. What a great start to Sunday morning (my time).

Two suspected graffiti artists have been killed by a London Underground (LU) train in Barking, east London.

Two things are wrong with this BBC headline. There is no such thing as a "graffiti artist". Defacing other people's property is not an art.

Second, savour the ignorance of this: "by a London Underground (LU) train". Why did they have to explain what the initials of London Underground are? If they had written "by an LU (London Underground) train", it would have made vague, although pointless, sense. Written by the product of a comprehensive school, no doubt, by someone who does not speak English at home.

'Artists'...? Gawd...

My delight at two more worthless chavs departing this world was tempered somewhat by the thought that it could have been my train held up while the luckless paramedics had to scrape them off the tracks. Bet I wouldn't have got compensation for the delay, either...

Note the ages too. Nineteen & twenty-one! Hardly little scamps, as the Beeb would have you believe...

My sympathies to the train driver & emergency services.

Do they qualify for a Darwin award, oh well done the train for cleaning up the rail network.

sympathies to the driver and the poor sods who had to scrape these chav vermin off the tracks.

Fido, I don't know that they qualify as winners, exactly, as there is pretty stiff competition for this award, but they certainly do qualify for inclusion as candidates.

"Two members of the graffiti artist community had their lives cruelly shattered by a London Underground train, privatised by the evil, racist Thatcher". All I want for X-mas is a politically correct tragedy. ;->
