Snafu on Ian Huntley :

Why should any prisoners be given anti-depressant drugs?

Prisons are supposed to be depressing places to be!

Tim Blair on Germaine Greer's curmudgeonly Steve Irwin "tribute".

They are meant to incarcerate, not depress.

Regardless of the convict's own unhumanity, surely denying potentially life saving medication to a depressed person is inhumane?

depression is an IRRATIONAL feeling of despair.

I would prefer them to have a RATIONAL feeling of despair.

And? Why should Huntley be treated as a human being? Anyway, he should be dead by now. What the hell is wrong with the other prisoners in that place?
